Alex Vlielander was appointed to his current position in June 2022, after serving as Chief Services Officer. In this new role, he also assumes duties held by the former Chief Commercial Officer. Previously, he served as President of Liebherr-Aerospace Saline, in Michigan. After completing his studies at the University of Leiden (The Netherlands), he started his aviation career with AAR Corp. in 1990 in The Netherlands, with subsequent postings in Singapore, London and New York. He joined Liebherr in 2003. He served as Vice-Chairman at AIAM from its inception through 2022.
