Dr. Michelle Merusi is a visionary leader and growth agent with over 38 years of experience in community college administration.
Dr. Merusi currently serves as the Vice President of Economic & College Development at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is responsible for leading, organizing and executing strategic plans designed to enhance regional and county economic and college development and oversees Corporate Training, Industry Certification Testing, Continuing Education, Conference Services, four National Union Partnerships and the Regional SBDC. She has served on the American Association of Community Colleges’ national Commission on Economic and Workforce Development and currently serves on the ITS Michigan Board of Directors, the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti LDFA Board, the Southeastern Michigan Council of Government’s Regional Economic Development Committee and is the Project Director for WCC’s partnership with the University of Michigan’s Center for Connected and Automated Transportation USDOT grant.
