Jacob Koering is a principal in the firm’s litigation and intellectual property groups and is
founder of the firm’s cybersecurity and data privacy practice. With nearly 20 years of
experience, Jacob has helped numerous companies develop, implement, monetize, and protect
their technology and intellectual property assets.
Jacob’s practice focuses on a wide range of technology issues for his clients, with a particular
emphasis on cybersecurity and data privacy. He advises clients on cybersecurity prevention and
protection best practices, as well as the legal and regulatory obligations placed on businesses
regarding the use, storage, and transfer of personal, confidential, or otherwise sensitive data.
Jacob also assists clients in the retention and protection of business and customer data, and has
expertise in the execution of incident response plans to a data breach and resulting regulatory
and civil litigation matters.
