Joe Marcheschi

Joe Marcheschi is Head of Flying Parts Procurement Services for Airbus Americas and a member of the Procurement Leadership Team. He joined Airbus in 2013, after spending more than 22 years in the aerospace industry in Canada.

At Airbus, Joe oversees the procurement specialist team that is based in the USA as an extension of the flying procurement commodities. His team works across the company’s three divisions – Commercial Aircraft, Defense and Space, and Helicopters – acting on their behalf for procurement missions such as; Scouting for Ready to Use Technology, Sourcing for Call for Tenders, Contract Negotiations, Claims Management and Supplier Relationship Management.

Marcheschi previously served as Director of Procurement, Launch Program Management and Business Development for Avior, an Integrated manufacturer of light aircraft structures (1999, 2013). As a member of the Avior Management Team, he led Multi-Functional teams of supervisors and contract managers, quality technicians, manufacturing engineers and procurement specialists during design, new product launch, qualification and industrialization.

From 1996 to 1999, Marcheschi was Plant Manager for Hubbell Canada Inc, managing a recently acquired SME production facility for commercial electrical products. Sales staff, order desk, operations supervisor and assembly technicians.

Prior to that Marcheschi worked for Heroux-Devtek, CAE, Joly Engineering and Allsteel in various roles: Procurement Manager, Head of Customer Service, Head of Repair and Overhaul and Business Development.

Marcheschi graduated from the Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering (AME), at John Abbott College and École Nationale de l’Aérospatiale College Edouard Montpetit in 1985. He successfully completed the Procurement Manager Development Program (PMDP) and Industrial Process Control Assessment (IPCA+) at Airbus.
