Cobra AERO and Cobra MOTO
Sean Hilbert is president of Cobra AERO, and its sister company Cobra MOTO. While Cobra MOTO was established in 1994, Cobra AERO is a relatively new venture that carries on the tradition of producing world-class propulsion systems in the aerospace and defense market. Since joining Cobra in 2003, Sean has helped the company grow its sales by nearly 1000%, triple its number of product offerings, and expand its distribution into several export markets including Europe, Australia, Asia, and Latin America. He has written dozens of technical publications, and he holds six patents on topics ranging from hybrid engine systems to fuel injection strategy. Prior to Cobra, Sean spent over a decade in the auto industry at Ford Motor Company and its spin-off Visteon Corporation.
Sean earned post-graduate engineering degrees from Michigan State University and theMassachusetts Institute of Technology. He also earned an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Along the way, Sean won the National Science Foundation Creativity in Engineering Fellowship for his innovation of a novel optical tool for measuring turbulent fluid flows.
Sean is the proud husband of Linda, his wife of thirty-three years. They have three great kids, Megan (30), Ryan (29), and Andrew (20).
